The Last Mile
While traveling o'er life's rugged road
Don't turn to the left or to the right
Though there's many obstacles along the way
Just keep going straight both day and night.
For soon this journey will be done
And when we've traveled that last long mile
We shall see the face of our blessed Lord
And hear Him say, "Welcome home, My child."
The trials of this life will seem so small
When we've gone the last mile of the way
When we'll be with the one who died for us
And brought us to that eternal day.
